The Field Service Technician serves as the front-line customer service representative providing professional equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and customer support services for the complete range of products.

Responsibilities

  • Professional installation of new machinery and systems following established company procedures.
  • Manage the assigned project, ensuring schedules and goals are met. On occasion direct other Technicians assigned to the project in a logical and methodical fashion.
  • Perform maintenance and service at customer locations, including troubleshooting and training of company equipment.
  • Serve as the liaison between the customer and the company. Ensure the customer receives the final, up-to-date machine documentation (manuals, electrical drawings, etc.).
  • Provide consistent, accurate and informative updates regarding project status. Provide project report summary detailing project progression and results.
  • Demonstrate excellent technical, customer service and communication skills on the job.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a field service capacity or as a plant maintenance technician.
  • Understanding of PLC logic and programming capability
  • Robotics experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong communication skills
  • 60 - 75% travel required

Education Requirements

Associates degree in applied technology or completed mechanical/electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
