Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Test Systems Design
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary Range: $65,000 - $78,000 annually depending on experience

About the Role:

Join a collaborative engineering team developing next-generation industrial control and test systems. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on, fast-paced environments and enjoy solving real-world industrial automation challenges. You’ll play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of PC-based test platforms and control solutions that support innovation and reliability in industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom test systems and industrial control solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to bring new control technologies to market

• Support full product lifecycle from concept through deployment, including hardware and software integration

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing control systems for performance and reliability

• Document system designs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in PC-based software development for industrial or commercial control/test systems

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with LabVIEW for test system development

• Strong experience in system-level design, integration, and testing

• Advanced PC operations and understanding of hardware/software interfacing

• Preferred: Microcontroller development using Assembly and/or C/C++

• Preferred: Familiarity with real-time data acquisition, sensor integration, and automated testing protocols

Certifications:

• None required; relevant LabVIEW or NI certifications are a plus

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail

• Effective communicator and team collaborator

• Capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic engineering environment
