Position Details:
Location: Liverpool, NY or Utica, NY (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)
Salary range: $82,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
Role Overview
The IT Project Manager is a pivotal role responsible for collaborating with organizational stakeholders to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate IT projects. The primary focus will be on successfully delivering software solutions while ensuring necessary business process adjustments are achieved. This role demands expertise in change management, time management, organizational communication, and team facilitation to lead projects effectively through their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project plans and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the liaison between vendors and the project team for issue resolution and decision-making.
- Identify and address project dependencies, risks, and areas for efficiency.
- Manage project documentation, including action item registries, risk logs, and meeting minutes.
- Develop and execute engagement strategies with external partners.
- Create and maintain project communication plans and integrate stakeholder milestones.
- Oversee vendor performance and escalate issues as necessary.
- Manage activities such as requirements definition, deliverable reviews, user testing, and training.
- Deliver regular status updates, highlighting accomplishments, planned activities, and current issues.
- Travel as necessary for meetings using personal transportation or public transit.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, ideally in a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive project plans and documentation.
- Expertise in gathering and documenting business, technical, and data requirements.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
