Medical Device Program Manager (On-site, Greater Syracuse Area)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Device Program Manager to lead long term projects (1-3 years) for a  medical device manufacturer. This is a customer facing role and you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of both large-scale programs and smaller initiatives. This position involves managing cross-functional teams to ensure project success and aligning deliverables with company goals. The Medical Device Program Manager will work closely with account management and technical teams to oversee all phases of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of projects, from initial concept through closure, including pre-award research and development phases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using a variety of tools and methods.
  • Monitor and report on project milestones and overall progress to key stakeholders, escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between team members and stakeholders to resolve conflicts and align priorities.
  • Clearly articulate project goals and expectations to team members and clients.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Establish and refine tools and best practices for project management, with an emphasis on lessons learned and process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • At least five years of experience managing projects or programs in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of production processes and systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to analyze cross-functional impacts and effectively manage complex timelines, from prototype to full production.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and guiding diverse teams.
  • Strong ability to convey technical and procedural information in a way that team members and stakeholders can easily understand.
  • Experience collaborating with senior management and cross-departmental teams.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 (Salary will be based on skill and experience)
