About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic IT Project Manager I/II to lead application, operations, and business-related projects across the enterprise. Reporting to the Manager of IT Project Delivery, this individual will be responsible for executing complex initiatives from planning through delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution and Oversight

Lead matrixed teams to execute projects from initiation through close-out.

Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Oversee risk, change, and resource management.
-
Create contingency plans and resolve roadblocks to ensure project success.
Communication & Reporting

Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
-
Serve as liaison between business and technical teams.
-
Escalate unresolved issues with proposed resolutions.
-
Deliver clear, professional communications across teams and vendors.
Process and Methodology
-
Apply Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC methodologies.

Develop and maintain detailed project work plans.

Implement KPIs to assess performance and outcomes.

Mentor junior project managers and coordinate workstreams on large-scale efforts.
Continuous Improvement and Strategic Contribution

Promote a culture of process optimization and cost efficiency.

Contribute to enhancements in project tools and best practices.

Align projects to strategic goals and assist in proposal development and transition plans.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, IT, or related field (or four years additional work experience in lieu of a degree).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years professional experience.
-
At least 10Â years of formal project management experience.
-
Experience in IT, healthcare, insurance, or similarly complex sectors.
-
Proven track record managing cross-functional resources and vendor relationships.
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and other PM methodologies.

Strong knowledge of project management tools and software.
-
Experience with business process improvement and quality frameworks.
Certifications:
-
PMP certification preferred or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
-
Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.

Professional composure under pressure.
