We are seeking a highly organized and experienced IT Project Manager to join our client's dynamic IT department.  The ideal candidate will manage the planning, execution, and completion of diverse IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. This role demands expertise in project management methodologies, IT systems, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and oversee the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Healthcare IT Expertise: Manage projects involving healthcare systems, claims processing, electronic health records (EHR), and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, ACA, and CMS requirements).
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while addressing issues proactively to minimize impact.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment and providing clear guidance to team members.
  • Reporting and Communication: Generate and present project status reports, updates, and key performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and optimize IT processes to support strategic goals and improve project delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors to ensure the successful implementation of IT solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all IT projects adhere to applicable laws, standards, and industry regulations.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, data security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, data analytics, and IT infrastructure in a healthcare context.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP or CRM.
