Security / Access Control Technician

This is a direct-hire, on-site position located in Syracuse, NY.

Security / Access Control Technician responsibilities for maintaining and servicing customers structured access control, security camera systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Installs all equipment and cabling according to best practice and/or company procedures.
  • Maintains customer Security, Access Control, and Camera Systems (some structured cabling) by troubleshooting, repairing, and fielding customer support requests.
  • Works tickets in order of assignment and plan by the dispatcher.
  • Appropriately documents/updates all information related to work performed.

Requirements:

  • Considerable knowledge of the installation, maintenance and repair of structured cabling, access control and camera systems.
  • Required 3-5 years experience overseeing projects and ability to read, understand and execute a scope of work in detail.
  • Previous phone system certifications or training a plus.
  • Must have ability to climb ladders, pull communication cable, and physically install hardware.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation and valid driver s license.

This Position is paying between $47,000 and $65,000 based on experience.
