We are looking for a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Administrator to oversee and support our enterprise systems across both Linux and Windows platforms. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and regulatory compliance of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, extensive systems administration experience, and expertise in compliance frameworks such as CMMC, SOC2, or ISO 27001.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain virtualization platforms and physical infrastructure, including systems on VMware, Windows, and Linux.
- Oversee key IT infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud-based (e.g., Microsoft 365), ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security for servers, storage, and networked systems.
- Implement and monitor compliance controls for data integrity and regulatory standards such as CMMC, SOC2, and ISO 27001.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for critical infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system infrastructure with business and compliance objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and compliance measures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous infrastructure improvements.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance across systems.
Experience
- Extensive experience administering Linux and Windows systems.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) and associated management practices.
- Proven expertise with compliance standards such as CMMC, SOC2, or NIST 800-171.
- In-depth knowledge of data center operations, networking, server security, and identity management.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with experience in system performance tuning.
- Strong organizational skills for managing compliance documentation and security controls.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Linux+, MCSE) are a plus.
The hourly pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00 per hour depending on experience.
