Sr. Manager, Applications, Data & BI (Hybrid)

EXPERIENCED IT MANAGER NEEDED IN SYRACUSE, NY 

This position will be hybrid with some onsite time needed in the Syracuse, NY office.  This position is not eligible for employer-based visa sponsorship.
 

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the management, strategy, and execution of technical systems and infrastructure across multiple business divisions. This role involves leading application development projects and supporting operational teams to ensure effective technology solutions align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of teams focused on databases, business intelligence, reporting, web development, and other technical areas.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and make staffing recommendations.
• Communicate organizational and departmental plans to team members, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Manage the day-to-day technical operations, including file transfers, databases, and reporting systems.
• Act as the primary IT contact for third-party vendors, ensuring smooth collaboration and integration.
• Develop and maintain robust IT systems that are stable, scalable, and future-proof; establish standards for software development, system enhancements, and IT architecture.
• Make decisions regarding IT equipment purchases and the creation of new systems to support core business functions.
• Coordinate and manage technical projects, including timelines, priorities, and expectations, working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to legacy systems to enhance user productivity and reduce costs.
• Serve as a liaison between diverse user groups, various business units, technical staff, and external vendors.
• Oversee the preparation and management of capital and expense budgets.

Experience Required

• 8-10 years of leadership experience in Information Technology.
• 3-5 years of experience managing a team of application developers.
• Strong knowledge of security practices relevant to IT management.

Salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
