We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System and Network Administrator to join our fantastic healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for new technology that includes AI and Robotics. Will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, both cloud solutions and network across three locations, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all systems. This role is crucial in supporting our healthcare services and ensuring that our IT environment aligns with the highest standards of compliance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Administration:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks across three locations.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
2. System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, both physical and virtual, to support various healthcare applications and services at all locations.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential services.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all servers and associated applications.
3. Healthcare IT Compliance:
- Ensure that all IT systems and practices comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant standards.
- Regularly review and update security policies and procedures to maintain compliance and protect patient data.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity at all locations.
- Collaborate with the helpdesk team to resolve complex technical problems and implement solutions.
- Oversee the backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for all critical systems and data across the three locations.
- Ensure the integrity and availability of electronic health records (EHR) and other patient information systems.
- Lead or participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, network expansions, and the implementation of new technologies across multiple locations.
- Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in IT, including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud solutions, and robotics.
- Implement and manage AI-driven tools and applications to improve healthcare services and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the integration and management of cloud-based solutions, ensuring secure and reliable access to data and applications.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of robotics technologies used in healthcare for tasks such as surgery, diagnostics, and patient care.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and adopt new technologies that can enhance patient care and streamline healthcare operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the IT infrastructure, including network diagrams, server configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on best practices for system and network use.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system and network administration, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and data protection laws.
- Experience with AI tools and applications, cloud computing, and robotics in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
The hourly rate for this position is $45.00 - $55.00 per hour depending on experience.
